Special performances by Marcos Galvany and Meghan McCall Marcos Galvany has been called “a melody gifted composer” and “one of the most talented and passionate composers of our time”. His music has been heard throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Russia, Australia, South Africa, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica. His first opera Oh My Son will be performed at a concert at the Vatican in 2014.
Praised for her “bell-like clarity,”“fine control,” and “radiant full-bodied voice,” American soprano Meghan McCall is establishing herself as a fine young artist of opera. She most recently made her Carnegie Hall Stern Auditorium debut in a world premiere where she created the role of Mary Magdalene in Marcos Galvany’s opera Oh My Son. Ms. McCall’s career has taken her to stages in both the United States and Europe.
It is our hope that the money raised this year will help fund our international data registry, and support the ongoing research efforts that will ultimately lead to improved understanding and methods of diagnosis and treatment.
