About Susan Chalela, PT: Susan Chalela, PT received her Master in Physical Therapy degree from the Institute of Physical Therapy in Saint Augustine, Florida; now known as the University of St. Augustine. She is a licensed physical therapist with over 20 years of clinical and teaching experience. During her career she has been involved in multiple domains to include outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, ergonomics, aquatic rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, and industrial medicine. She completed training in APPI Pilates as well as the rigorous Functional Dry Needle Level 1 course through Kinetacore. She is developing novel applications for such techniques in multiple clinical arenas. In recent years she has developed a professional interest in Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and has devoted a significant part of her time to the study and treatment of patients with EDS. She is currently developing a holistic treatment approach to patients with hypermobility disorders. She is currently self-employed with the goal of opening a clinic specializing in hypermobility disorders.
